Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account information — your email, name, and profile details you choose to add.
• Content you create — scripts, captions, recordings, brand details, calendar items, reflections, and similar work you make in the app.
• Usage & habit data — streaks, XP, and activity needed to run the habit features.
• Device data — for push notifications we store a device token; we may process basic device/diagnostic data to keep the app working.
• Camera & microphone— used while you record with the teleprompter. Recordings are saved where you choose (your gallery and/or our private storage). We don't sell them, publish them, or use them to train AI models.
• Video sent to our AI provider — when you ask the app to write captions for a video and you haven't linked a script, we take a few still frames from that video in your browser and send them to Anthropic (Claude) so it can describe what's on screen. We ask for your permission the first time and only do this if you say yes. If you decline, captions are written from your script or topic instead and no images leave your device. Frames are used for that one request and are not used to train any AI model.
• Reports you send— if you report content or block another member, we store your report (what you reported, the reason, and any note) so we can review it. The person you reported or blocked isn't told it was you.

How we use your information

To provide and improve the service, generate content you request, send you reminders you opt into, secure your account, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers we use

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
• Anthropic — AI generation of the text/ideas you ask the app to create, and (with your permission) describing still frames from a video so we can write captions for it.
• ElevenLabs — speech-to-text transcription when you use the video editing tools.
• Our video rendering service — processes your recorded takes when you ask the app to edit or render a video for you.
• Brevo — transactional and account email.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Apple Push Notification service / Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivering push notifications.

These providers process data only to perform services for us.

Your choices & rights

You can edit your profile, turn reminders on or off, and delete your accountat any time from Profile → Delete account. Deleting your account permanently removes your data from our systems (subject to limited legal retention). You may also email us to exercise privacy rights available in your region.

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active. Recorded video takes are ephemeral and auto-deleted on a short schedule. When you delete your account, associated data is removed.

Children

Show Up is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
